STEP 1 | Setting the Space
Choose a quiet and comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. This could be a designated meditation corner, a special room, or even a peaceful spot in nature.
Some people like to use sage, palo santo, or an incense to purify the space and others like to place crystals, amulets, or talismans in their space to provide protection and amplify their intentions. You do not *need* any of this, but feel free to follow your intuition.
How will you document your encounters? It’s essential to experiment and find what resonates with your style. I express my messages verbally and capture them using a mobile app on my phone. Others might prefer automatic writing, where they pen down received messages rather than verbalizing them. Additionally, having someone by your side can be beneficial to either recall or note any profound insights for you. Being in a channeling state is often compared to being in a dream; remembering specifics after the fact can be as elusive as grasping dream details. Ensuring you have a method to capture your experiences, be it messages, symbols, or emotions, during your session is crucial!
STEP 2 | Grounding and Aligning
The act of grounding helps bring a connection to our planet and stability to our internal systems. Obviously the best way to ground is to go outside and contact the Earth. Science shows us that grounding in this way is good for us. Actual bodily contact with the Earth’s natural electric charge stabilizes our physiology at the deepest levels, reducing inflammation, pain, and stress, improving blood flow, energy, and sleep, and generates greater well-being. If you can not get outside, you can ground using your energy and imagination. Either method will work for our purposes.
Sit or lie down comfortably. For my morning sessions I sit, for evening sessions I lay down. Do what feels most comfortable for you. To ground, I like to visualize roots growing from the base of my spine and my feet deep into the earth, anchoring me firmly. Use whatever visualization works for you, feel your connection to Mother Earth. Imagine all of your stress and anything that would block your ability to channel draining out of you and into the Earth through your roots. Feel how strongly you are rooted into the firmament. Nothing can move you.
Once I am grounded I clear my chakras. Starting with the base chakra I work my way up, visualizing each energy point as a colorful ball of light. If I see any dimness or smudges, I envision the ball spinning quickly and shining brightly to clear itself of those lower energies. I work my way through all 7 and once done imagine a sphere of white light surrounding me. I like to imagine this light serves as a barrier, ensuring that only high-vibrational information can pass.
