Nela, The Huntress is part of my ongoing series celebrating powerful women, each adorned with a distinctive headdress or headpiece that reflects her unique nature.
Nela embodies the spirit of the huntress: independent, intuitive, and deeply connected to the natural world. Her crown of bare branches symbolizes her connection to the forest, while the arrows beside her represent focus, determination, and the courage to pursue what she seeks.
The triangle symbol over her third eye amplifies her inner sense of knowing that guides her path. Her confident expression suggests a woman who trusts her instincts and needs no permission to follow them. Nela is not simply a huntress of the physical world. She is a seeker of truth, purpose, and her own destiny.
This painting celebrates the wild, intuitive strength within us and the freedom that comes from trusting ourselves. Inspired by my friend Noelle.
