Lyla is part of my ongoing series of empowered women adorned with symbolic headpieces. Her green headdress represents her connection to the living world, and at its center is the Fibonacci spiral, a pattern that echoes through nature in remarkable ways.
The Fibonacci sequence and the closely related golden ratio appear in many natural forms and growth patterns, including the arrangement of leaves, flower petals, pinecones, seed heads, shells, and branching structures. These repeating patterns have long inspired artists, mathematicians, and seekers alike because they suggest an underlying order woven into the natural world.
Lyla is the keeper of that pattern, a creative force, a guardian of the quiet intelligence behind growth, expansion, and becoming. Her presence speaks to the idea that nature is never truly random. Even within apparent chaos, there are rhythms, proportions, and patterns continually unfolding.
