Over the past several months, I’ve felt drawn toward exploring a new kind of intuitive work: connecting psychically or telepathically with people who are nonverbal. This work is especially close to my heart because my own son, Zak, is autistic and nonverbal. He uses an iPad with a communication app, but his ability to communicate is very limited and is often made up of one or two-word responses.
As his mom, I know intimately what it is like to love someone deeply and still wonder what is happening inside their mind and inner world. There are so many things I would love to ask my son and receive a direct answer, so many conversations I wish we could have in the traditional sense. My experience as a mom is really where the desire to explore this work began.
Through my work in mediumship, I have spent time learning how to quiet my own thoughts, become receptive, and connect intuitively with people who have passed. At some point, a question naturally began forming: if I can connect with someone who is no longer physically here, could I also connect with the higher self or deeper consciousness of someone who is here, but unable to communicate verbally?
I don’t know exactly what is possible yet. That is why I am approaching this work with curiosity, humility, and an open mind.
What Does a Session Look Like?
The process currently happens in three parts. First, we meet briefly over Zoom. This gives me an opportunity to meet the nonverbal person and their caregiver or loved one for about 5 to 10 minutes. There is no expectation that the nonverbal person needs to interact with me in any particular way. I simply want a chance to see them, say hello, and create that initial connection.
Afterward, I spend about an hour privately in meditation, intentionally connecting with the person and asking to connect with their higher self or deeper consciousness. I pay attention to whatever impressions arise. These might come through as images, emotions, words, physical sensations, memories, personality traits, preferences, or other intuitive impressions.
Finally, the caregiver and I reconnect on Zoom for approximately 30-45 minutes. During that conversation, I share what I experienced and we explore whether any of the information feels recognizable or meaningful. There is also time for questions and discussion. One of the most important parts of this process is feedback. Since I am still learning how this type of connection works, hearing what resonates, what doesn’t, and what may become meaningful later helps me better understand the information I’m receiving.
Why I’m Offering These Sessions for Free
Right now, these readings are free because this is something brand new that I am developing. I’m looking for families and caregivers who have a nonverbal loved one and are open to allowing me to practice this work in a thoughtful and respectful way. There is no expectation that everything I receive will make sense or be verifiable, and I also understand that intuitive information should never replace a person’s established methods of communication, medical care, therapy, or professional support.
For me, this comes from a very personal place. I understand the longing to know more about what your loved one may be thinking, feeling, or experiencing when they cannot simply tell you. My hope is to explore whether intuitive connection might offer another small window into that inner world. If you have a nonverbal loved one and would be interested in participating in a free session while I continue developing this work, please reach out. I would love to connect with you.
